- August 2018 – Launch of the Association with His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka as the Chief Guest at the BMICH on 23rd August.
- January 2019 – Conducted a half-day session on Localization of Sendai SFDRR indicators in Sri Lanka as part of the International Ascent Festival for Capacity building for research and innovation in Disaster resilience organized by University of Huddersfield, U.K
- June, 2019 – Conducted “Awareness on Climate Change, Impacts, and Climate Change Adaptation” to mark World Environment Day 2019 in collaboration with the Climate Change Secretariat and the support of World Vision Lanka
- July 2019 – Launch of the web portal for the Association
- July, 2019 – Led a session at the International Impact Conference on the governance of the upstream-downstream interface in end-to-end tsunami early warning system organized by the University of Huddersfield and the University of Moratuwa
- December, 2019 -Dialogue on convergence of the 2030 agendas for DRR and CCA: Why is it important? And how can we achieve it? in partnership with the University of Huddersfield and Disaster Management Center
- December, 2019 – Workshop on research paper writing for young professionals with the support of the University of Huddersfield and the DMC
